A Night at the Grammys

Feb. 10, 2019 was an exciting historical night. The 61st Annual Grammys aired live, with thousands of people eagerly awaiting who would take home the big reward.
To everyone’s (and no one’s) surprise, Cardi B won her first Grammy, which makes her the first woman in Grammy history to win the award for Best Rap Album(Invasion of Privacy). The history kept coming as more women won Grammys including:
Kacey Musgrove: Album of the Year, Best Country Album
Lady Gaga: Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media (w/ Bradley Cooper)
Ariana Grande: Best Pop Vocal Album
Ella Mai: Best R&B Song, etc.
Many more notable names and albums received their due recognition, with Childish Gambino receiving four Grammys including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for This is America, The Carters winning Best Urban Contemporary Album for EVERYTHING IS LOVE, and The Greatest Showman being awarded for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
