Beauty Tips to Look Less Dead During Finals

Finals week is here and with that comes lack of sleep, excess caffeine intake, lack of time and DARK CIRCLES!

The final exams, essays and projects are priority but that doesn’t mean that we have to look bad while we are are working like crazy. Looking good makes you feel good, and when you feel good, you do better. Now, this doesn’t mean that we are all expecting you to walk out with a full face of glam makeup everyday; that would be unrealistic. Nonetheless there are a few quick things that can be done that are going to make you look good and feel good about the way you look. Here are five steps that you can take to make yourself succeed in saving face this finals week:

  1. Wash your face. Not only will it wake you up, but it will also clean your skin and make you feel fresh.

  2. Moisturize. Always moisturize and use sunblock and make sure you don’t skip the eye cream, because your dark circles will need it.

  3. Use a CC cream. If you want to get a little bit of coverage and gain some SPF coverage at the same time, a CC cream is the way to go. CC creams are light and look more natural, so your face won’t really feel like it is wearing foundation.

  4. Conceal, conceal, conceal. Conceal your dark circles, so that you forget how tired you are. If you’re going to use only one makeup item during finals week, make it concealer.

  5. (Optional) Light makeup. End your routine with some mascara to open up the eyes a bit more and some chapstick to moisturize your lips.

Now, you’re ready to head out and tackle your finals. You’ll look better than most people in the room, and that alone will give you a boost of confidence that might make the difference between an A and B.

In addition to these tips, make sure you are staying hydrated (and no, coffee doesn’t count). It’ll keep your skin looking glowy, and it’s so simple to do. It also has been linked with keeping your mind awake, so it will help with your endurance in studying.

May the odds be ever in your favor!
